It's about time I made this thread

Before this is called drama by some of you, some parts might have a little drama in them, but I want to point out that its not entirely based on drama.

Well, here goes- "Yomc, 2014"

Well...I am a little unsure of this thread, but I'm posting it anyways. Here we go...
We need to change. Everyone here says "The community is getting worse" and that is exactly right. None of you are brave enough to make a thread that might cross the borderline of drama, enough to where you might get banned. Im here to make that thread, just to get a point across to you guys that we can work together to make this community the way it was when Roby had things in action. The golden era of the new forums. Sadly, that is over. We together as the community can help develop into what we were then. Before any one of you people are like "Well the community will never be the same as it was on the old forum" This is now, that was then. More players = more personalities, and more little kids. We have to cope with that, its not going to magically disappear. People like spaghetti and pieman are probably never coming back, and face facts guys, its reality.

Here are some things that we can improve if we at least try.



People in this community like to call lots of threads biased, some on even my threads. This really angers me, a lot. Some staff members even do it, which really disappoints me. Im not naming names here, but here are some really just angering quotes. One of these ended up being a joke, but these are quotes from our staff
team.

"Ew another one of these threads"
"Another one of these? woow, jultar 4 co-owner"

Its things like those that just shows we are inconsiderate of others sometimes. Sure we all make mistakes, but honestly, this is real easy to prevent. All you have to do is think before you speak. Some of you are real good with that, and i respect you for that! Others however... Moving on, like I said, just think before you speak.



Inconsideration. People are really inconsiderate of others' feelings. Lets say someone got 200 posts. Sure, this guy is real excited and all, but then there are those few members (Even myself sometimes, and Im working on improving that.) Yay good for you I have 2000 posts. Or, which i really don't like: Good4u now you are spamming up the section. You know, I went to a couple different communities and found one where some guy made a thread about it, and no people were saying anything like that. Instead, some people were posting things like a gold star and were saying congratulations! And all that crap. You know what we do? We give a congrats or two then it turns to spam and drama. We need to work on helping others and being nicer, its first grade stuff.



With the amount of staff decreasing rapidly lately, we need more staff on the job. (I am not highlighting that I want to be staff, I already closed my application) We went from 28 to in a couple of days 25, all in 1 month. We have less staff and we need more moderation on who we think is right for the job. We need 30 at least for the job, we only had 28, but 30 is a reasonable number with the amount of players in the community.


Well, with that being said, I hope this community actually starts repairing the place.

Also, for staff, if a flame war brews, locking this thread is perfectly fine, and if it is drama, I don't mean for it to be. If it is drama, I'm sorry.

Everyone is going "the community sucks now". With that attitude, do you really expect it to improve?

The community is fine. It's only such threads that brings it back up to thinking something is wrong with it. Placebo effect. Yeah nobody dares to make such threads because the 10 warningpoints censourship is strong with this place.

 

I agree, its in a good shape, its just not what it can fully be. There are little kids coming so it may make it hard for some of the older members of the community to cope with that. So then they try to fix it by making the situation worse.

 

This is a drama thread and 10 warning points will be given. You could have talked to a staff member about this.

 

Threads like this one do nothing to help the community; they only make it worse. Its basically just bringing it back up to stir the situation back up again. It doesn't help. Quit trying to act like staff and let staff do their jobs.

For the record, I'm aware of the loss of some staff, and its already being worked on, you didn't need to make a drama thread about it.
