Which is better? Windows or Mac?

I play mah games on a Windows PC, but to be honest I prefer working with my MacBook Air and doing like all of my media (photos, videos, movies, TV shows) on my iMac. Reason for that? 1. Blazing fast optimized OS. 2. No driver problems. 3. There is no good cheap photo management on Windows like iPhoto. 4. There is no cheap video editing software like iMovie and NO, Windows Movie Maker is no comparison since it cant do Greenscreen, Picture in Picture, manual Color Correction, etc.

 

I have 4 computers, one has windows 7, one is MAC, one has windows xp.
And one has Linux but it crashed so i throw it to the garbage .-.

 

I think Mac is a better type of computer for the following 3 reasons.
-No viruses
-Easy set up
-Easy to use

There are some advantages and disadvantages to every operating system, honestly.

WINDOWS:

• GOOD: The hardware is 100% customizable and 99% compatible.
• GOOD: If you have a software package, I can bet you money that either it runs on Windows, or has a Windows version.
• GOOD: If the application was written for DOS, it will work in (32-bit) Windows.
  
• BAD: It costs $150 (for a Pro license)
• BAD: It's Microsoft.

MAC:

• GOOD: It's easy to use, and looks nice
• GOOD: It has some features that Windows does not have natively.
• GOOD: There is only one documented virus / exploit against it.
• BAD: It really ONLY runs on Mac hardware (It can run on other hardware, but it's a bitch)
• BAD: The OS can be really locked down at times, and does not always give you the access you want.

LINUX:

• GOOD: There are only 30 documented exploits, 90% are research exploits, which were patched almost immediately.
• GOOD: If you don't like something about it... Just code it yourself!
  
• GOOD: You have all the power in the world over it.
• GOOD: It is a well-secured, stable kernel which has years and years of testing and use in enterprise environments
• GOOD: Package repositories. Enough said.
• BAD: It's harder to use than Windows or Mac TO THE STANDARD, NON-POWER USER
• BAD: There is not much written for it, and although there is Wine, it does not work 100% of the time.

I realize I probably left a good bit out.
But this is just what I see, honestly.

Windows hands down.

Why? You can use VMWare Fusion and virtually have a Mac AND Linux system :D
(VMWare Fusion is a Windows program that allows you to use other OSs.)

 

Or you could triple boot.

And I can use VMware on Linux and Mac, too :p

 

Really? I thought it was Windows only :P

 

My theory on why it's nearly impossible to get a virus on a Mac is that because their software and OS is so limiting, no one is able to get hold of a program that can create a virus :3

And there's Windows being able to make viruses with Notepad (I somehow know how to make one that shuts your computer down).
