[Skyblock] How to be smart about scamming

Hello, many people get scammed on ItsJerryandHarry, of course, almost everyone gets scammed. In-game or in real life, but today Im going to help you with some tips to help you not get scammed. Hopefully you can then share these tips with your friends.

EDIT: This was made before Hai, but he has a brand new one.

I'm going to list the tips here.
1. Whenever you go somewhere, make sure you have NOTHING on you unless the person you are teleporting to are known by yourself.
2. If someone says 'Party at my island' be smart about it, because you can't get stuff from islands, if they say from /spawn, then you can freely go because you can't get damaged at spawn technically.
3. Your /is home should be a water pit so if you've fell off the edge you can easily do /is home and be safe, and if your burning your /is home is water so you'll be safe
4. Whenever your buying an item, make sure that the player is showing the item as proof, if they do not give you the item, make sure you don't say anything about you're taking a video, screenshot etc. Just post it on the forums, don't say anything “I'm reporting this player for blablablah” do it silent.
5. Always have /fly enabled if you have it.
6. Please don't be fooled around by this scam, someone says 'Stop taking my money! Stop doing /pay <Player> -$20000, it's just taking your money.
7. If someone is advertising a shop or something, ask a friend 'Is that person safe? Are they a scammer?', if they're not sure ask the player what they're selling and if it takes more then 5 minutes to answer, it's pretty much a scam because they're thinking 'What should I put?'.8. If someone says "I'll give you 15k for a spawner!" Ask them, could you make a sell sign? Because it's a very high chance you'll die.
9. If someone offers you a legit deal like 50 diamond for $10, come on, it's a scam. This is basic.
10. Don't trust backwards signs, Free Diamonds? If you are smart, you'd ask (as a troll) "Why don't you just put it visible and then BFREE?" Heheh !
11. Don't make a big deal about a scam, don't swear because then they'll just report you and you don't have any proof. Done, banned.

Actually you would be surprised how many people don't know these facts. It seems every 5 minutes someones having a fit because they got pvp-bypassed and lost diamonds or they got scammed e.t.c. Also this thread belongs in server discussion as it is about skyblock in this server not Minecraft in general.

 

In belongs in Minecraft Because, people do the same scams in all skyblock servers.

I've been on plenty of other servers most of them are extremely different to this one. He's blatantly putting up a guide for this server.

Did you even read the thread? It's not even a suggestion, J+H can't add this. Or did you just randomly post?

Anyway, I think that most people would know these, and I don't even play minecraft. It's no different than in the real world. You can't just let a random person hold your wallet for you while you take a drink.
(Random example but oh well, it works)
Minecraft is mostly played by little kids. Trust me, I have seen my younger cousins playing minecraft.
If you think the trolls are actually adults, I found that the spammers, trolls, impersonators, and scammers that you see in the reports are all 7-8 year old kids.
Insanity, I agree with that much.

 

For a start, dont get angry. He is trying to help, so if you dont have anything nice to say, or any good critiques, dont post.

As for this, this is EXACTLY what I tell people. I think they could have a notice board at skyblock spawn about it, or every player is given 1 book which underlines everything described.
