Another Donation Discussion Thread ('cause staff seem close all the others)

This is in response to Harry's latest post in the official thread, but like the title mentions, that thread was closed and I can't respond there.

People are complaining they've lost 'EVERYTHING'.
That is not true, you lost a few things that were not in line with the regulations by Mojang. Anything that is not mentioned in the first post, you will probably still have. Before saying your $10 Donator rank went to waste, go on the server and see what really changed. Chances are, if you only play the 'minigames' (not the survival/creative servers), you won't even notice the difference.

And what if we do primarily play Survival/Creative servers? These are not “minor changes,” as you previously stated, you are completely removing some of the accessories that I paid for. I spent $30+ on perks that I specifically wanted, and I do not want the ability to set extra homes in lieu of reimbursement.

I understand that EULA has put you in a difficult situation, but those of us who donated bought the right to use what we purchased. You cannot take that away from us, at least not without some kind of refund.

I would also like to add that I don't appreciate the way that some of the staff (as well as players who haven't been negatively affected by this) have been responding to those with complaints. I'm sure the whining is annoying, especially given that there's not a whole lot IJ&H can do about the situation, but some of the comments on threads I've seen seemed quite dismissive, not particularly understanding, and to be honest–kind of rude.

But the majority of people who post complaining about the new EULA post things such as "OMfG I want my moneyyy back or I sue harry and jerry"
I'm pretty sure that threads such as this one get replied to in a formal manor. Its just the other threads that staff are getting annoyed of.

 

You donated because you wanted to support Jerry and Harry in what they do, and to keep the server online.
Isn't that what you donated for? Then you seem to have misunderstood.

 

When you donate you usually don't receive nothing back. Unlike here j/h gave you things in return for helping the server. Now its not that they wanted to take the stuff from you or that they had the right, it's Mojang said so and Mojang does have the right to take them because its their game. The only thing j/h did was comply with it's rules. Everyone needs to adjust to these changes whether they like it or not.
