Minecraft MINECRAFT 1.8 BREAKING NEWS #3

I'm not sure everyone is clear on the EULA clarification (how ironic). Mojang does want people to be able to make money off of the game, and you can give non-game changing perks for donating. Those things include colored chat, particle effects, VIP minigames, joining full servers, private message perms, nicknames, /head, /ride, etc. but DON'T include things that directly affect how you progress in the game like /fly, /repair, /ptime day, /top, setting multiple homes, teleporting all over creation, buying ingame currency, more faction power, etc.

Another note, I'm fairly sure you need a command like /hat to put a banner on your head as things stand. This of course may change in upcoming snapshots.

 

You can't put banners on your head. You can with the new /replaceitem command or with editors, but you can't normally put it on your head o_o

You know, you don't really need to do a whole thread on the 1.8 snapshots, there are people that do check the snapshots and do go ahead and read information on the snapshots. And if someone doesn't check the snapshots himself, its kind of their problem, everyone can do that.

 

I know I don't have to, but I'm a nice guy and do all the research for my friends here in the community so they can get all the information with ease :)

 

Man, how can you like that voice, I want to kill myself now. But I can't wait to make a taco banner in factions for ET

Dont want to make this a flame war so, In my opinion, this is the best Minecraft update I ever seen :D Just as good as the Adventure Update

 

All of this sounds really cool but the thing that sucks about the 1.8 update is the new EULA. (and no I did not say that to annoy but this is my opinion). It seems that a lot of servers are no longer going to be up for business for the 1.8 server (Unless they have a backup plan to deal with) :P

 

I tried the snapshot and got like 5 fps ;-;

 

*cough cough* I use it only for zoom and remove fog not decreasing lag *cough cough*

 

I wonder if you can create the American flag with Banners :)

 

I don't think, since it has a bunch of stars and is too complicated for the flag maker. J&H did a flag from the Netherlands I think tho....

 

i know, i mean a simpler version :P
