Donations

Not gonna write a long wall of words since I'm on my iPhone right now, but basically Mojang is putting a ban on donations on August 1st.

I just have a few questions:

Will the server no longer exist aka no donations?

If donations are taken away, will donations be stopped or will ALL ranks be taken away from players that already have them?

 

They will probably edit their donation items so that say it goes according to the rules proposed by the newest eula.
According to one of their newest videos, mojang appears threatening them with the EULA, which means J/H are aware of it. Dont worry ;)

 

You can still donate, but you won't get any perks ingame

 

Like this guy says, they maybe will change the perks of the ranks you have which will be legal with the EULA. Like, the SG perks will be removed since the free Iron Swords will 'affect the gameplay' which are illegal. So they will probably change everything into heads and nicknames and more stuff that are useless at all :/

 

You guys saw my island on skyblock2. If that was all gone I'm probably break a window irl :/

We can only get COSMETIC Items in other words cant donate to get vanilla mc items (ex creeper eggs)

Nah, I bet they will sell c eggs for a heck load of money, like 100k.
Plus, in many faction servers you can open chests even if they are from an enemy faction, so be happy that we got c eggs c;

I don't think they are going to delete your island, they are probably going to remove the ability to get those islands :p

 

I pretty much only came here to discuss about this topic; the EULA.

Now the EULA is now being enforced by Mojang and as we all know, it begins on August 1st.

The problem starts with in game perks. No rank will be allowed to get an in game perk, unless it can be bought with in game currency, which is earned by playing the minigames. Although, you are not allowed to sell real currency for in game currency.

Another confusing thing is that servers are allowed to charge players to enter their server, or even specific parts of the server. It might be hard to get around but donations are very much dependent on keeping the server alive. People may get mad but that's how it works.

Finally, you are definitely allowed to give cosmetic items in game for ranks. You can have coloured name tags, pets, hats, etc, as long as there is no advantage over someone else in game while playing.

 

I am not sure of Notch and Jeb are American or not, but that we are wealthier ingame and irl means that we do have power over others. That's the American way. If they don't want people "making money" off of minecraft servers why are they allowed to charge players to enter the server in the first place? Their reply: Because it isn't fair. Well it isn't fair so what? That person is more successful in life, they have more money, let them have their perks damnit.

This government takes away from the rich and gives to the poor. Rich people are taxed now more than ever since Barrack Obama was elected president. What do they do with the money from the rich? Give it to the poor to bribe them for votes. Not everyone is succesfull in life, and sometimes people fail. These SFA (Success for all) and No Child Left Behind programs are outrageous.

 

My question is whether or not these perks (such as /fly or /enchant) will be taken away once this think hits home. Will they be removed, and therefore trying to buy ranks and/or perks before Aug 1st be pointless? Or will we be able to keep said perks and ranks once this thing hits?

 

I feel that's what is going to happen to a lot of people... Stop Mojang. Your realms are to laggy anyways.

 

No, they are not Americans. And yes we do have the power to stop it. If know one knows mojang told ZexyZek to stop doing trolling videos but lots of people went to mojang and yelled at them. So we could stop EULA, but it must likely won't happen

 

Any perk that gives players an advantage in game will be taken. The only thing we can have is pets and stuff like that
