    Hi, guys.
I've noticed a ton of these threads where people ask "who are your top 10 players?"
I kinda think these should stop because of potential flame wars/hurt feelings.
If you guys agree with me, just comment on this thread.

I feel like these threads are being used to brag for other people, or even yourself.
    I saw a thread titled "300 wins"
It is great that you have 300 wins, but I don't think the whole server needs to know.

    Thanks for looking.

    I half agree.
The top 10 players thing, definitely. It's harsh looking at that thread after working hard at OITC, just to see 1-2 out of 15 replies have you in that list.
The 300 wins, it's pretty huge to some, and can even encourage others to try and achieve that.
Say, an aspiring OITC player sees a thread by you saying you just hit lvl 100, they might think 'I could do that too' and play more. So, those types of threads aren't always a bad thing.

Sorry If this is off-topic but I feel like this Is just a fancy wall of text saying:
"Nobody gives a single shit about your wins or kills. Now shut the f*ck up already."

    Well said, my friend.

Something like that, but not really what I was going for xD
I mean, it's great. You got (insert kills/wins here) kills/wins!

Not everyone needs to know about it though.

You can tell that was sarcasm :p

EDIT: what I meant by sarcasm is the way this guy spoke. I mean you did say this very well my friend but @Xadidax did not. :D

I know what it says, It's for talking about OITC.
But talking about OITC doesn't mean that you need to post every little achievement.

Exactly right, I'm on most of people's "top 10 players" lists, and I'm fine with it.
But I really don't like the threads because people can feel left out, or like they aren't getting enough recognition.

I think it's great when someone hits 1000 kills or 200 wins or something, but I don't think that every little event of yours needs to be made public.

    where to begin :
I can understand peoples excitement about getting insert thing here and wanting to share that with the comunity, simmilar to raiding threads in factions.
Where i have an issue is duplicate threads . The best example is "known OITC players" There are now a total of three threads. One i got locked, as it was heading south. One is still up, thats meh. However someone created ANOTHER thread and thats where i have my problem.

The second problem is some people cant take it if there name is up on a list, (ie best players, known players) you have to remember: its only someone's opinion. Opinions are neither right or wrong .

And in the end the idea is never the problem, but the people.

I have a say in this.

I only come onto OITC to have fun every once in a while, whether it is with friends or just myself. I know I will never be on the leaderboards, even though I am an awesome player at OITC. I'm not on OITC all the time unlike others. I respect those who are on OITC all the time.

Some of the players who are on the leaderboards I play against win sometimes and it sometimes can be a lucky win because you know "wrong place at the wrong time". Now some of the players who think that OITC leaderboards mean to them will show me their name on either the new or old leaderboard. I don't care if you are on the leaderboard. If you are that's great, good for you. If it means a lot to you that's fine, but don't go bragging around to others. Other people don't have the same opinion.

Leaderboards don't matter to me, and some people need to realize that and respect other people's opinions. Just have a good game and move on to the next match if you wish too.

Like Mappy said, those 300 wins etc, kills blablabla would encourage people to play more.
The leaderboards? Why would you care about those.. You should care about playing the game and having fun with friends. Leaderboards are just there to make everyone able to brag way more, because they would say.. ''I'm third on the leaderboard you can't beat me!'' or whatever they would say, I don't know I don't play OITC.
But, still. I look at those 10 best players threads in this way:
Cool, that's good for you. Maybe I want to try to be in one of those lists one day.
    -----
You shouldn't care about those posts anyway, why? Because, those are peoples opinions. Those aren't true because I haven't seen even one player that knows everyone. So, how would you make a message with the 10 best players of J&H OITC if you don't even know everyone.

    lol....
Anyway, these "bragging" threads really annoy me, every second I check the forums, there is likely to be one. It's just an achievement, so why brag about it? You realize nobody cares.

So now might be a good time to add on to all of this and add my favroite advice:
"If you are playing OITC for the soul purpose of having your name on a sign then your playing for the wrong reason. Its a game. You primary purpose is to have fun, then you can worry about the sign.

This thread is talking about OITC bragging threads, because it's in the OITC section.

Ummm - kinda agreed. The 300 wins thing - it's just a big achievement and I guess it means a lot to that person - every now and then we have a new number 1 that might post a thread about their achievement . Sometimes they are just proud . However I do kinda agree with the known and best players thing - sometimes people take it personally.
