I never used to own a mouse but I know some tips.

    *~*~*
    - Mice are curious, charming pets, and will be active at various times throughout the day. However, they are fragile and should be treated gently.

    - Get him a running wheel in which the wheel is around 17 cm. Make sure that the wheel is solid... without rungs.

    - Make sure that the food pellets you get from your pet store has at least 16 percent protein and 18 percent fiber, and not more than 4 percent fat.

    - Peas, broccoli, carrots, apples and bananas are good foods for them but don't give them too much.

    - Mice LOVE plain Cheerios.

    - Never give your mice cabbage, chocolate, corn, candy, junk food, peanuts, uncooked beans or onions.

    - Give it around 5ml to 8ml of water and around 5g to 8g of food per day depending on how big it is.

    - A mouse’s sharp front teeth grow continuously. Provide unpainted and untreated pieces of wood for your mice to chew on. This will prevent any dental issues.

    - Remove droppings, uneaten food and soiled areas of bedding from your pets’ cage every day. Clean the cage completely once a week by replacing dirty bedding and wiping down the rest of the cage.

    - Provide small boxes or flower pots for your pets to hide in, and cardboard tubes for your mice to chew and run through. You can also add a tree branch for them to climb on. Ladders for climbing and PVC pipes for tunneling are recommended so your mouse can enjoy itself.

That's pretty much what I've got. If you need more info just search around the internet or ask me.

    Cats dont eat mice lol

Also I remember when I had a HAMSTER....It was an amazing hamster. It was able to climb the tree all the way up in my backyard, and it was able to swim in the sink <3

Everyone has to go eventually.. :(
Anyways I recommend NOT letting your mice outside, because my hamster actually got stuck in the tree for 5 hours ._.

I had two Siberian hamsters (and lots of baby Siberian hamsters) for 2 and a half years, they act pretty much the same as mice so I guess I could give you some tips xD

    • Make sure the cage is clean. I used to clean it every week. If it's not clean they can get diseases.
    • If you decide to let the mice out of the cage for a bit, keep an eye on them (I let my hamster out once, and I couldn't find him for 2 days. Luckily I found him at the end).
    • If they get scared they can bite you, and trust me, it's not nice getting bit by a mouse/hamster xD (My entire finger was bleeding after my hamster bit me) so make sure they don't bite you.
    • I'm not sure if it's the same for mice, but if you have female and male mice, and the female gives birth, put the male mouse in a different cage. They can eat the babies. Again, I'm not sure if it's the same for mice.
    Good luck xD
