Not going to start a war here. Just calmly saying that real love can exist solely over an IP stack (essentially, it can exist over the internet).
It's really a matter of who it is, who you are, and how dedicated you are and want to be.
I know a few cases of possible true love, myself included.
It can exist.
You just have to be careful.

Love is a joy that will fade when no one stimulates it for example you like someone and he/she likes you too. So you ask her to be your girl/boyfriend and she says yes. But if you don't do anything with her, the relationship will get worse and worse till you break up and are normal friends again. That is my perspective of love.

So the whole thing is to do stuff with your significant other.
Wait until you can meet IRL.
Talk to them.
Spend time with them.
Don't throw them to the wayside.
And always, ALWAYS, treat them like they're king / queen.
If you truly love them, it all comes naturally.
