Anyone here good with computers?

if so i need help, whenever i play minecraft now, Javaw.exe (the file that runs minecraft) Has been using 100% of my CPU. my norton always warns me of a high CPU usage by java platform se binary And once i turn on the game, it never goes down at all... :( its pissing me off and making minecraft unplayable.. Do you guys have any solutions to this problem? if so thanks (No troll comments please)

 

Do you have other programs opened while playing Minecraft?

 

No i dont, Minecraft is the only thing running, besides my CPU thermometer and that doesnt use any of my cpu

 

I think the problem lies with your CPU. You did say that one was not being used at all while the other is getting 100%, if I recall?

Minecraft only uses one core.
It was never written to multi-thread.

I would also suggest EndItAll2, it's very good for eliminating background programs

It may be emulating OpenGL....

It's what makes Minecraft run, in short

 

If it's old and nothing else is hogging the cpu then:

Possible dusted cpu cooler -> Clean it
Change cpu thermalgrease -> Could cause a 100% cpu usage but overall its just heat
Virus

No virus is the third thing, not heat-virus :/

 

ohhh... ok anyways i found another hint towards my problem, theirs a second Javaw.exe when i run minecraft that doesnt take any cpu at all, the other javaw.exe takes it all. theirs 2 of them in the task manager
