Flame wars. Hmm, what a simple yet explosive subject, is it not?
Yes, a flame war is basically an argument over the internet.
We have seen many erupt on the forums, even to the point where the forum's main two flamers are ip banned!
They expressed their point of view, which to many, was very negative.
I'm on neither side with this.
Yes, the owners did have enough of being bashed, but, tbh, half the stuff was true.
But, the reason why I'm not on Flare's & Pyro's side, is due to the way they expressed their opinions.
One of way of being respected is not to be negative and attack people.
Although respected for standing up to the owners, they were not respected for being nice and all of that.
In the last thread Flare made, it attacked Animoes & I over an argument made on a friend of Flare's page.
In my own point of view, I had understood I had done wrong, but the same person that pointed out my wrongness had done the same thing on someone else's page. I know it was his friend's page, but still, it was a rude word, that shouldn't be said.
Oh, and for anyone who never got to see this:
Not only did Flare apologise for his behaviour that day, but, and this is a big but, I also apologised for reacting that way in the first place.
So that's basically past us.
As you venture further into the community & the forums, you realise something.
The only people that ever make threads that flame wars erupt from, are the old veterans & the highly respected members.
Yomc is highly respected, and his opinions are shoved everywhere. It isn't bashing the owners as much as Flare & Pyro and therefore is the reason he is here today.
Another great one is Sunken_Library. I cannot remember his forum name exactly, but, yea. He is respected, but not well known. He was the one that made the Step it up thread.
There are tons of great threads out there, that should of ended in flames but weren't, due to it being locked or just simply no reason to flame.
Now, you don't have to be well respected to flame, nor do you have to flame when highly respected. It's just the general group. Newbies don't tend to flame. Nor do staff, yet they are highly respected. Have you ever seen a staff flame? I didn't think so.
And further more, the title is Hey people! let's start a flame war!
Do not attack the fact I expressed my opinions, as the title expresses that I should.
Here's something I try and get across a LOT. It never gets through, even though it's important.
Go into the Report abuse area, and find a thread that doesn't use the format.
People have commented USE THE FORMAT!
YET, in the paragraph that the player has typed, it contains all the information needed, and answers all the questions used in the format.
I quote this, no joke, from a staff:

I'm sick of this. People have given very detailed explanations and they get yelled at by people saying USE THE FORMAT, yet they actually have done the right thing. It's sad.
It not only makes the player feel bad for doing something wrong, it teaches them to do it later on. The format is a guide, not a must.
There are some places where it is a must, such as Staff Apps, but not Report Abuse.
I would mention posting in Ban appeal, but no newb wanting to post someone killing them wants to read this first.
What I am going to mention, is the rules.
Or rather, the lack of people reading the rules.
I have read the main rules 3 times, and every other rule once or twice.
I listen to the staff when they say something.

I used to post my drawings in creations, now, off-topic.
I learned that creations are for server-related creations ONLY.
You can go into Ban Appeal & see multiple posts requesting to ban people, you know why? CAUSE NO ONE READS THE RULES.
It's sad that. I know where to post cause I read rules. I'm a good turtle. Although this is bad, I despise those who do not read the rules. It's common sense to read them, as you will most likely be picked up on something wrong you did.
Although I have read the rules, I still make mistakes.
Such as my post last night. I thought it belonged in server discussion, most others thought otherwise. It got moved, but the person I aimed the thread at saw it, and I'm happy with that.
We are a great community, I do not know how to express that any further. It's not big. Go on Hypixel forums and try looking through members online to see your friends. It's hard enough trying to find their name, let alone yours.
Here, it's easy as poop. It's a small community, but that means it's easier to talk and make friends, cause eventually, you cannot do that due to there being too many people. You'll have that friend wall though, making friends with them earlier. There are people on, that I wish were not on.
There are also people I wish I saw on.
(Before I went thread hopping I never knew Athenswill didn't have a rank and Yomc was Herobrine ;-; Only cause I have never seen them on.)
I have met most people from the forums, and I have been recognised by many. I have made a lot of friends in the time I've been here, which is nearing a year. Some, from the beginning, some recent. I don't treat many of them different. I will in fact treat Lila different to someone I've talked to 3 times. Lila is my wif <3333
But, I'm going to end on a good note.

Just, hear me out.
In the whole time I've been here, I've never seen someone being shunned for being different. A few of my friends are different. Elite is Muslim, yet he is one of my BEST friends. Same with Abzilla.
I used to hate anyone not from Australia, America or Britain. But, with time and this server, I only hate people that make fun of those who are different. You guys, from all over, have helped me not be so racist. Yes, I grew up being racist. My dad wouldn't buy anything from pakistan, saying it was a dirty country & Indians were dirty gross people & etc etc.
That isn't my opinion now, and I am thanking you guys!
Why?
I don't use much social media sites. This is the only place I can talk to people around the world.
Let me tell you a story.
I once went on omegle hoping to talk to some interesting people. Most people went by, and I never had a good chat.
It was 10pm, and I clicked connect for the last time.
It was a 18 year old guy from South Africa. I felt uhh about talking to someone from Africa, but, it was the most inspiring chat I have ever had. I talked to him for 1 hour & 1/2. We talked about many things, but most importantly, it was the first time I had ever had a chat to a South African, and it was great. That helped me gather up courage to talk from people around the world. I am no longer as racist as I was, and by that, I mean I'm not completely non-racist, but, not as racist.
(I wish there wasn't so many Asians in Australia)
I have met tons of people not from Australia, America or Britain. They are all very awesome people.
This server, as far as I can tell, is not racist. And I applaud that.
