We seem to go on the internet to escape from the real world. Sometimes when your sad it makes you feel happy to see a funny post. Sometimes when your sad you go on the internet to feel mindless... I just realized what this extrodanary thing can do. It can help you explore, but stay concealed. Sometimes our initial response to things is to turn on your device. You just want a distraction. I was once crying, the next moment I was completely silent as soon as a logged on this website. This made me realize that I in my head that I keep promising myself to go outside, and maybe take some advice everyone says we call "stupid". I feel that I may waste some of my days of the summer again, here...
Its hard to log off. Its hard to just delete your account... I don't want to... But I really need to... or at least play less...

That is one of the smartest and most complicated question I know. The answer to all your problems is... :

    I don't know.

    People love the Internet.

Interact with games, learn more, chat with your friends-- The Internet's possibilities are endless.

If you can't even go outside, nor play less then this means it's a serious thing. Everyone has gone through this progress called "addiction". You may deny but yet everyone else does to, but really it has happen to everyone. Some people are TOO addicted, some people get addicted just for a bit and some can control their time on the internet.

Yes, the internet is a lovely place. You can tell your deepest secrets to people on the internet, you can make friends easy, they understand you. Sometimes it has it's down side thou. People get bullied and shit, but what they don't understand is that you can simply turn off the power button. It's that simple! That's the thing that more people have to understand, just turn off the power button, sadly if you can't even do that then yes, you are addicted. If you can turn the power off, it brings me to...

...THE OUTSIDE WORLD! You can't kiss your girlfriend over the internet? Can you? Get one in the real world then you can do all that lovely stuff. You can go to the park with you mates, have a Coke, go to the beach, ect. There is endless possibility you can do, no world limit or invisible walls either! Travel the world! If you have done that, go to space or some shit! Life in the outside world is endless fun.

I do understand now that people want the internet, it's their escape place. The place to chill out, put on a headset and go play with people who don't judge you. Everyone needs to understand this thou, you meet people in the world, whether it's in real life or in game that will judge you. That will pick on you. That will get you to that point where you just break and fall apart. That is when you go to a family member. Both real life and internet life has it's pro's and con's. Just try to control being addicted and not.

I can tell you this, from my 14 years of experience being on planet Earth is that NO video game will compete of what I have done in real life. I have been through some pretty tough times, you leave people, people leave you, close family and friends pass away. Life goes on thou, they will never been forgotten. I have been to different states and even a different country! I have had stitches, been in competition for sports! I've had the chance to do daily boxing training with an Olympian Australian boxer! I have had fun with birthdays, Christmas, Easter. I've had the chance to experience to hear lovely life touching stories. Go on thrilling rides, eat the best food, cook, clean, run, walk. No video game can compete with this.

So what I am saying is explore the world, enjoy it while you can. Make video gaming a hobbie, not a permanent thing to replace the life you have. Don't hate on what i have just said, it took a bloody while. Hope this entertained you, thank you. -namename321.

There's a lot of reasons why we are on the internet, some to get away from real life, some just for the lolz.
To be honest, I find my internet life a lot more fun than my irl life. (Yes, I know. Shaddup. Makes more sense to me) (LIFE LIFE :DDDD)
This month, is the month where I hit 1 year at J&H (Not forums but server :P)
To think about it, I've been on for 1 year.
I've done so much, learned heaps, and gained tons of friends.
People say 'go outside, online friends aren't proper, you need social skills'
I've tried that, none of it works.
I've made way more friends on here than I have in my life. Here, people back you up. You can joke around, and laugh and whatnot.
But the internet isn't just for fun. My English grades have slightly improved ever since I joined (Slightly, they were already way above the Yr standard x3)
On the internet, there will be at least someone willing to be your friend.

That's why we are on the internet. c:
