Ummm... 1000, I guess?

Wow, I love how I rarely make these threads anymore.
So, hi guys, I'm having a little thing here because apparently I have 1000 messages. But guess what? You're all late to the party.

See that? Old forums. That post was probably even longer than this one, where I went into a long history about my life in the server up to that point.
Now, for all you New Forum Noobs (no offense)(I've copyrighted that term btw), I used to post, like, a lot. Like, over 9000 times as much as I do now. If I wanted to, I could probably do that again. But there's not much point to that :p
So I'm going to make this wonderful thread not starting at the old forums... But at the new forums, since that's where we are now and I should probably accept it. So, where to begin...
I was just waking up when Athens Skyped me, telling me about how the forums is back. I was pretty happy. It had been down for a few days. We were hoping that it would be back up and ready to not have flame wars like the old one did in the end.
What I had discovered (before I had to take a shower, that is) is that they were using a new system much different than the old one. It was all new.
Just as a disclaimer, I get that post count doesn't matter, but anyone who looked at my post count in the last one probably understands why I was like AGHHHHH
Post count doesn't matter, but I had my 2000 posts post prepared. I couldn't use it.

Anyway, so, I was thrust into a new community, and I felt as if everything I had done on the old forums was slowly waning away. I was panicked. I made a staff application, but I realized they could only choose so much staff and resigned myself to the fact that I probably wouldn't be accepted.
Then post count got crazy. Talking about post count was kinda "taboo" on the old forums. You didn't do it unless
1. You had an important thing to say at a milestone (like this one).
2. You were telling people about how post count doesn't matter.
In the old forums, if you made a post in a report that didn't have to do with you, your post count would be cut in half by Dao's rule, plus you'd get banned for two days. And that's just an example. To prevent people from post farming, they had a limit on how much you could put in a post. If a post didn't have at least 30 characters, it couldn't be posting. And it was effective. Farming for posts wasn't really that bad back then.
Oho, on the beginning of the new forums it was insane. People getting 1000 posts over the course of two weeks was stupid. Honestly.
And we say how post count doesn't matter all the time, but in reality, post count only matters if you give it power. And the people on the forums did.
I was 200% done with the community. It had become shit compared to the old forums. I couldn't see a single good part of it. And I did quit, and I left quite the post behind, in Wingdings, explaining my views on the community before I left.
So, cut to about two weeks later. I'm talking with Spicy on Skype, and I believe the subject of discussion was Spaghetti. Honestly, Spaghetti was someone to look towards, but we were mainly talking about the fact that he was honest no matter what.
If you made a creation that he didn't like? He would say so. He wouldn't bs things. Not to mention that his posts were all planned out in length and thoughtfulness.
He got about 500 posts in a month, all good posts at that. In a month.
So, I decided that the forums needed someone to do that. People were farming posts left and right; I needed something that would help them realize just what they were doing and how everyone else looked at them.
And no matter what, in my view, in all humility, Cannoli was planned perfectly. The fact that it was named after an Italian food and talked like Spaghetti made everyone think it was Spaghetti... And not me.
And it worked. Ultimately I used it to get the movement for post count reform up. The car had started up, I just needed someone to push the pedal. Boom. I come back as Yomc, people don't suspect shit, I support the cause, and eventually make a massive suggestion explaining myself.
Yeah, I manipulated about half the forums in doing it, but honestly, the post count problem was fixed. It was worth the risk.
With that problem done, the community improved drastically. And in all honesty, I don't remember as much from here because the new forums isn't nearly as memorable/special as the old forums, but heym why not keep on going.
Oh yeah, then I made that massive thread about everyone telling me about staff choices being biased, but in all honestly making that thread was a mistake regardless.
Oh yeah, now survival's out, which is cool. Rogue was about 7 months overdue (it's been planned since August, actually), but now it's out, which is cool and all.
So yeah, this is so much more disorganized than my legit 1,000 posts thread, but hey, organization doesn't matter (well, maybe a little).
So I'm going to thank a few peeps, and then I'm out.

Anyway, you're so incredibly similar and different in comparison to me at the same time. I honestly think that if we were to live nearby in real life (and not on the literal opposite sides of the country) I would be hanging out with you as much as possible, because you're just that kind of guy.
(Who knows, maybe you'll move here one day. *crosses fingers*)
In any case... Yeah, you've been a really great friend.

Other than that you are awesome and very accepting of most people. I think you are one of the most interesting people I know (in a good way of course).
