So you want to get started with Java, eh? It is a great platform for game developers to work with and starting out with it s very simple.

Starting Java
Most people start Java with so called "building blocks." When a building block showing an event/action being done, another building block is attached.

So, walk through them with this:

There are many more of these, including on the Java website, but this is one you are probably used to.


Now you can use the basics of coding! (I might edit this later)

 

As I always say...
I don't recommend Java as a first-time language.
It'll turn people off in a snap.
