[MUST READ] Internet safety tips.

Recently I noticed a guy who was posting a link saying to go to his blog about J&H
The website address says "bvog.com" and some numbers.
Now I noticed some people commenting saying it doesn't work.

That's because it's not a blog.. It's a website that takes your IP.
With said IP, a person can look up your personal info like your location and whatnot.
And basically everyone who clicked it, their IP got sent to that person.
Now what do you do about it now?
I'm not so sure myself actually.

BUT in order to avoid future problems,
DO NOT click links from people you do not know.
This is VERY dangerous and could lead to your info being stolen or phished (which is in term, the same thing).
I have deleted the posts by that guy but just like you won't download suspicious material or something in case of it being a virus, it's sort of the same thing.

Be VERY cautious on the Internet. You may end up giving out more info than you'd like.

I think I had my IP sent to this guy... I want to get back at him as well, but I don't want to do anything against the rules of J&H, any suggestions?

Oh my gosh...
I actually clicked on that link out of curiosity.
I got a 404 Error, but I'm still kind of worried something could happen...

 

It tells you that you got an error.
It seems like the link didn't work.
But it actually did work.
They were trying to trick you.

 

I'm scared to death...
There's so much going through my head about this...
Is there anything I can do on my behalf?
Like, to keep myself safe past this point?

Not sure what you can do at this point.
Changing your IP is a choice but I'm not sure how to do that myself either.
You can google what to do in a situation like this though.
You aren't the only one who has fallen for things like this :P

 

The worst that could happen is your minecraft/email getting hacked

Its really easy to recover those, just chill unless it really happens

It means no virus is attached to it, so there's nothing to fear in that direction

I feel a bit better about this now, but I'm still changing my passwords and stuff to be 100% sure.

 

Look up bvog on google and you'll find many results of it being a site that takes your IP.
Safe or not, it's still something people should be careful of on the Internet.
