As many of us know, Philippines was recently struck by Typhoon Haiyan. Near two thousand have been reported dead, and hundreds of thousands left homeless; Without shelter, food, or water. The devastation in the streets is too great, there are decaying bodies trapped in collapsed houses. To be living in this hell, I really praise the people. My whole family in total has donated over $500 to this affair, possibly more to be coming. For the countless lives lost, I'd like to give a moment of silence. There are an equivalent amount of people in the server and forums to those who have lost their lives. Would it hurt to give a moment of silence?

I pray for you, Philippines. :[

i don't play this game anymore yet i'm still here why do you ask, i don't know either
Also, one of those people affected was Claire, as she lives in the Philippines. (Don't worry, she's not dead.)
P.S: I think Claire told me that her area that she was living in wasn't highly affected.

    Want what really happened?
Haiyan attacked my country with Category 5 hurricane force. Storm surge was five meters high. What Silent said is true. There are ten thousand estimated dead. Relief hasn't gone to the Visayas regions! The people are in absolute chaos because of desperation. My brothers and sisters started stealing. What they are doing right now isn't crime. The Law of the Stomach and the Rule of Poverty have swept over the affected. Its so SAD. People died and lost more lives.
I appreciate the moment of prayer. I, as a Filipino, would appreciate the help.
Its so DEPRESSING to see my people like this.

That's craziness, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I couldn't imagine so much destruction where anyone could live.

    This was such a tragedy...

Luckily my family in the Philippines are okay,
But over thousands of people were affected by this.
My dad donated money to the Philippines,
But he said the people are still suffering from not having food.
And my school, said having lots of Filipino students, we've been praying for them in the morning announcements.

About the food... it is true.
The aid hasn't come since the area that was stricken was Visayas. If you don't know what that is, it is a group of islands far apart from each other, thus making it hard for the government to bring relief.

Something I find ridiculous related to this,

so our school started raising funds to 'help' in this disaster. however, instead of asking for money, they asked for sanitary items. I'm more confused than hell, as I think that supplies of food would probably help more.

The more shocking part was that they wanted every supply to be 'new'. New, as in not being used before. Seriously, we're the donators, and you'd expect us to run down to the supermarket, sweep all the sanitary items, and turn them over? Seems wrong to me.

I'd be more than happy to donate in behalf of the people in Phillipines, despite that poorly solved attack against our Hong Kong visitors three years ago. but donating in this kind of way, nuh uh.

Good luck on coping with the crisis, I guess

About the sanitary items: Yes, it's really needed. Although the food is much more important, sanitation is a basic right and should be everywhere. Many people have been injured. INJURED as in, like, untreated and festering wounds. And there are rotting carcasses and corpses everywhere. The new part is that they need the supplies as many as they can, so unused products have the most in them. Even terrorists are conveying aid.

I understand if the Hong Kong citizens are still mad about the Manila hostage crisis. But, dude, it's still sad. Please.

If everyone in the world would just donate 1$(Without the Filipinos ofcourse) you'd have a lot of money to help.
My school isn't , and probably won't raise money , but me and my family have donated a lot.
This is why I hate this planet so much. Half of the people don't give two fucks about it. We're just destroying earth by throwing our trash on the street , ....
    This didn't have to happen
