Remember, it is not the fault of Staminus

People like to point fingers, but it's really no one's fault that the server is down. Staminus uses a company called Cox for their internet services. Somewhere, Cox's cables are damaged (this is called a fiber cut). Usually, fiber cables are damage because of construction companies not checking with the land owner if there are any cables. Also, they are commonly caused by gnawing squirrels, car accidents, or vandalism. So, it is easy to shift the blame on Staminus, but the fault is not on them. You don't have to have someone to blame.

Okay, let me correct you in several aspects:
1) Sure, they can be run on poles. But, if I remember correctly, long-haul fiber like the one that was cut is usually buried, and therefore not susceptible to car accidents, vandalism, etc.
2) Their data center was run with only one provider. This is a big no-no, in case something like this happens. Sure, they had two links. But one was down for maintenance, and now this happens. This is why you have links from multiple providers in your data center.
3) 24+ hour response time for this is just not acceptable. In fact, this data center can not be classified as an official Tier 3 data center anymore (it doesn't have more than 99.8% uptime). I know that the problem is technically with Cox. However, Staminus could move servers temporarily over to the nearby LA data center.

So, in all reality, it really is mostly Staminus' fault.

Well, what can they do about it? Staminus uses cox which is unreliable, that makes Staminus unreliable, so I do agree it isn't their fault but then again, it will keep happening if they keep using cox, and I never heard any news of them changing internet companies so... Yeah

 

Well........... their is two sides to this.

Yes COX did have a fiber cut and it was their fault, so we should not have all our anger towards them.

But I have seen reviews of COX saying that is not reliable. So it is Stamminus's fault for not researching about COX and it's service, so they failed to switch to a better one. It is really both their fault actually.

Also ItsJerryandHarry were gonna switch to a new host anyways because they did not have good service and treated their customers unfairly.
