Toxicity Awareness

Tim if you get staff don't be like other people and act like you own the place.

 

Now I read most of what pages 1-2 said and skimmed through 3-4 as it just seemed like bickering but, I'd like to have a word about this issue you've brought up in a generalized sense

I agree with @Stellarite and the others who say that this so called "Toxicity" is bad behavior. Think about it. This server as many mention is, yes for all ages. Which if you think about it, with the growing mind of a (for example) of a 10 year old perhaps, is being feed by the things he/she is seeing or hearing on either the server or teampspeak/discord. It is only natural for a child of this age is pick up on the mannerisms that other people (whatever age they may be) show on any chat that they happen to be in at the time. Which them picking up on these actions and words and using them toward out people, is just bad behavior. BUT! They may not know that. And it's up to them to figure that out, by consequence and redirection. Which with the staff team can handle. Warning is redirection. Ban is consequence.
(What if no one is around to do either of these things?) Talk to the bully. Don't talk down to the bully. Don't treat them the way they are treating you. That creates more conflict and no resolve. (What if they keep pushing?) Then simply go about your day. (But, what they said to me hurt my feelings, I'm supposed to just let that go?) Do you know them? What do they mean to you? Are they your real life friend? I'm assuming that if you've come to this thread they are not. Don't let some written code through a system converted into words on your computer screen pull you down. Unless they write it down on a piece of paper and personally send it to you through the mail that's different. If you so chose to listen to the person who is talking down to you, then learn from that. Learn that you shouldn't let someone behind a computer screen assume/say things about you on any scale.

Building on the whole "L" thing I saw reading the 1-2 pages. That's bad behavior (Not to single you out at all @NorthEastQueen but I'm sorry I had to use you as an example..) It's not toxicity. If it was a constant them picking at you constantly, and thus influencing you in a negative way over and over a long period of time. THAT'S toxicity. I believe what I feel out of this has to do drama as well. I realized that drama has shaped this community to be more tense and uptight because not everyone is buddy buddy with everyone. Which is okay. Not everyone is going to get along, that's how friendship, relationships, and real life works. "Toxicity" is too strong of a word. "Negative Vibes/Influence" sounds more like what seems to be the problem here. Not to point fingers at anyone but, because of recent and even past drama that has occurred on this server, there has been this odd, off feeling maybe to some that just doesn't sit well. That is understandable. But, don't make this what is isn't. The server is not toxic. As a matter of fact like @Emma had metioned "Its just a block game" well it is. But I understand how something as little of "a block game" can change a persons demeanor, you can't look me in the eye and say this server hasn't changed you in some shape or form and that goes for everyone. I apologize if my opinions are all over the map and there are things I might of missed, as it is closing in at 12AM but. I think I've gotten my point across to the best of my ability at this hour.

My final statement will be that, not everyone here is going get along. Either on the server or the forums. That's not how things work. People will be assholes, people will try and pull you down, people will ridicule you, people will judge you, but that's just human nature. Ultimately I don't think people need a guide line as to how they should run themselves and how they react and behave toward people that react and behave badly to them.
The effort is appreciated but, everyone runs their own mindful government whether or not they listen or agree with you is up to their consensus.
Things change, people change, not everything stays the same. I know what it feels like to want all that happiness back, but progression even if it seems slow or seems like it doesn't even exist, and right now things are all not that good. Is better actual regression. Believe me.

Stop getting offended over something that is obviously a joke. You're choosing to get butt hurt over someone saying a letter. This is exactly what I mean by some of you are just not fit for the internet; if you get that easily offended over the smallest things, then you get off this thread lol. Lets stop with the jokes.
This thread was made to help stop the spreading of toxicity during an argument. Most people took the sentences stating "L" can ruin someones day and turned it into a laughing stock. An "L" could potentially ruin someones day, and for others it could just be a letter.
We're all different, and we all have different views on how things effect us.
Just because you aren't offended by it doesn't mean everyone else isn't.
So let's stop harassing others in the thread and get back on the topic please.
