So, Ms. Reecy. I see you have a new "drawing" as your profile picture.

If you drew this drawing, then why did someone named "neoninz" make this exact same drawing? You did not make this drawing, you simply traced over it.

The lies have surfaced.

The LEFT TURN has arisen.

 

1. I didn't trace it
2. The drawing is just something I "drew", I was looking at a "model" if you will.
3. Lol.

 

ALSO i never said I drew it in the first place.

1. I did draw the picture you see (aka my profile picture).
2. THERE IS AN ORIGINAL I USED AS A MODEL THAT I DIDNT MAKE.
3. Wtf is the big deal.

ALSO as I used sed picture for a model, the two drawing will be different with some features, as you can see in my picture (profile picture) It 1. mine has color.. 2. the floor is different at the bottom..
:D I just wanted to "re-make" it with my own hands, and I did so. :3

 

Two things.

Its like a cooking recipe. You follow instructions (in this case you use the picture as a base) and try and make something similar to what is shown. Is that against the rules of JoeyBacon?

Also Joey, how do you find this stuff? :L

 

I'm actually not gonna question on how you found it because anyone can just look up Monstercat on google images and sooner or later find sed picture and 2. im also not gonna question your rules because i dont really care..nor do i want to care, so imma peace now and get back to my gaming.

 

First off, before anyone starts bitching at Joey, I'd like to state that I found this drawing, and he posted about it (Same with Teddie's). So, if you decide that you have a major problem with this post, ask someone for my Skype, and you can bitch at me instead. Secondly, I happened to have a problem with this because it's clearly not your work, yet you called it "my drawing." It's comparable to changing something in an essay that you didn't write, and calling it your own. (Commonly known as plagiarism)

Comparing it to a cooking recipe probably isn't a very good comparison, because you're not going to have someone burst into your house, and accuse you of "plagiarizing" a recipe.

Along with this, I see that drawings are copied/stolen and claimed as their own quite often, and I think that some of you really need to have more consideration for the original artists… They clearly put a sizable amount of effort into their drawings for their own gain, not for someone to trace over it, put it as their profile picture, and hey, "gaiz look at my new drawing :33"

And for how you find things like this.. Either insert the image into Google Images and it automatically finds it for you, or, use terms that someone would use to find this, such as Monstercat drawing.

Essentially, my main problem with this is that some people think it's justifiable to claim, retrace, steal, etc. a drawing as their own, and then continue to get offended when someone accuses them of it. You're clearly not asking for people to be soft about it, considering morally, it's wrong.

So if one day, you decide to trace over a drawing, put someone else's drawing as your profile picture, then claim it as your own (without permission), you have lost the right to complain about someone "overreacting" or "being rude," because frankly, you're not any better off.

Also: I overlaid them in a drawing program, not nearly enough of a difference to say "It's mine, I made this, this is my own concept."
