Application Drones

There's a group of people who shall remain unnamed who go around replying to every single staff application with the same exact words as if they are some kind of application drone.

They copy and paste the same "help" message to each application.

This is basically how it goes.

Someone makes some horrible application:

That is an actual application somebody made.

Then somebody replies with this exact, copied and pasted message that they add to every application.

No matter how horrible the application is, they always reply with: "Nice application!" Those people are far, far too nice. If someone thinks their ten word staff application is "nice" and it is denied after 2 and a half seconds by a staff member, I don't think they would be happy. They need to be told "This really isn't a great application. If you edit these things, it might be better."

I'm not saying you should not be allowed to help others, but 15 people don't need to go to every staff application and post the exact same copied-and-pasted message. One of them has even admitted in a STATUS that he or she "checks applications most of the time." If you want to help, fine.

But you don't need to be some application drone. You most likely won't be promoted by spamming the entire section with your fake "help."

Another reason why only the applicant and staff should be able to reply to applications.

 

Well the bad thing about that Is some times Apps aren't Always looked at and ppl tag staff to lock

This is why we need Staff Applications to be invisible.
I was about to make a thread about this, but Joey beat meh to it.
We need this as a rule, some people *cough* sandaz *cough* post the same thing no matter what.

I can fully relate to that.
There is a difference between actually helping and just post farming.
Not gonna mention names here. There are quite a few too.

Some possible things that I think should be made to the staff application section:
- We make staff applications invisible, just like ban appeals.
Or
- We only let staff post on the persons application, and/or themselves.
- We have staff watch out for people

1. Copying the same information again and again.
2. People post farming^
3. Repeating information that has already been suggested.

I hope staff do something to combat this.

You bring up a very good point Joey. I reply to applications. I always make sure I am making suggestions though and if someone has already posted, I don't write on their app. But yeah I see where you are coming from. It is a way of post farming and it needs to stop.

This isn't necessary... This is the type of stuff that happens on said applications. I recommend you don't post farm again.
