Ok so when i attempted to join the server it said : "java.net.SocketException: PermissonDenied: No further infomation"
all other info is here: i was on 1.7.10 no mods were active or in my folder, that is all i think you need to know.

 

Try unplugging you router and plugging it back in

 

Permission Denied leads me to think that you blocked Minecraft from "punching holes" through your firewall.

 

I had this problem before all i needed to do was go to the program "cmd" Look for your ipv4 address or default gateway. {try both} Put them in your address bar. It should come up with a password and username website or box. Username: admin Password: password now look for the box that says something like "Firewall" Click on that and push "disable" next to windows firewall. I think that its if its not let me know and ill try it.

Ive had it off since I got me computer, and I haven't had any problems. Any way that's the only way i could fix my problem. if I turned it back on it would give me the message again.

 

At least it's better than deleting System32...

Random softwares, can't exactly call it as a virus since it does no harm at all.

Not much, I have League of Legends since my sister downloaded it on my computer... Minecraft, Paint tool SAI etc.
Now let's not get too off-topic.

 

Ok if you updated ANY game then it might have needed that software to run

OK so many comments but I got it I had a virus of my pc that locked me out of mc. so I re started my pc and cleaned it. its fine now
