Hey fans,

Now that Creative has had the majority of its bugs worked out and things are looking operational, it's time to make use of those saved plots around spawn!

We will choose up to 24 winners based on quality of builds and quantity of entries to earn a spawn plot!

To qualify, you simply need to provide the location of your plot in response to this thread by the end of the month. We will spend some time reviewing the entries in the first few days of April and award the plots from there! If your plot location is not found in this thread before the end of the month, your entry will not count! Entries will not be reviewed until after the contest has ended, so you can enter your plot before you complete your build!

Hey fans!

Every time we ask about possible server updates, people always ask about a creative update. The problem we've faced is that no one ever really knows what that should mean other than "newer server version." Well, we've decided that creative would be an excellent opportunity to become the main building ground of the community for map submissions. And with that in mind, we set off to work on creating a world builders would delight in.

As the large majority of the server is 1.8, map submissions would need to be in 1.8. So should we update the server version here? Well, let us not forget our history, of course. Creative used to be the home of many fans of Role Play and some lovely minds that made some pretty awesome builds that would not fit anywhere on the server. We're not looking to take any of that away. This isn't a rebrand of creative, it's an enhancement! Updating the server version is very beneficial to all the things creative used to be, but by itself is not enough, so we dug deep and we gave it more :)

Builders Delights
+ Updated server version to 1.18
+ Plot sizes from 48x48 to 201x201 (Whoo! CENTERED PLOTS!)
+ World Edit, Voxel Sniper, GoPaint and GoBrush are fully available for all players to utilize
+ A villager has been added to the parkour lobby and OITC lobby advertising a map maker world that takes you to Creative
+ Added a /submit command - links you to forums submissions page
+ Redesigned the map submission tutorial to indicate maps needing to be built on server and submitting plot (or import to server and submit)
+ Added a toggle to integrate Jump Pads into your plot
+ Added a toggle to create megaparkours on your plot that gives carpet the megaparkour features

Role Play
+ Added in Character sheets that allow you to set a character name, race, gender and description.
+ Plot Chats have been redesigned to be a per-plot Role-Play chat that utilizes your characters name
+ Added Furniture, Lamps, and other trinkets to help bring builds & RP's to life
+ /sit has been modified to work on right-click on appropriate blocks
+ Updated to the newest version of Armor Stand tools to help populate your RP's
-- NOTE -- RP's will be expected to follow the server rules and ongoing RP's must utilize the plot RP chat.
Command for Character Sheet:
/character (lists your character sheet with click-commands to edit info)
/character set [Name|Description|Gender|Race] <input>
/character check <user> (or right-click the player)

Bonuses
+ 24 Plots surrounding spawn have been reserved for contests/purchase.
+ You may request your past plots be imported (for a fee).
+ The ability to upload schematics or download a schematic of your plot can be purchased from the server store.

• Increased size of all arenas by 4 blocks in every direction
• First to 3 wins instead of just 1
• ELO system
• Shift+Right-Click someone while in the Spleef area to challenge them to a 1v1
